So would I, most heartily.  And I believe we will get our wish, if we
live to see it.  I have been saying since the collapse of the USSR
that "superpower" was a 20th-century phenomenon, untenable in the
21st.  And no, China won't be a superpower, either.  Something else,
hard to predict right now.

For the U.S., it's just a question of whether we go by miserable
collapse like the USSR, by losing wars in one hellhole after another
like the French, or with relative grace like the English.
