Well, it looks like we're off and running with the Group Read.

Haven't had time to put together a proper post on the opening Section, but 
for now just one question:

In the opening dream sequence, we're on a train, that seems reasonably 
clear. And we arrive in the station with the globular lights, by train. So 
how in between do we find ourselves on a road:

"The road, which ought to be opening out into a broader highway, instead has 
been getting narrower, ..."
