[Ghetta Life]

Well, not just the rocket, but the Zone, too is a prominent feature,  almost 
as a counter to the mobilization of forces surrounding the production of the 
rocket.  Pynchon seems enamoured with the concept of anarchy in almost all 
of his novels.
