The Group Read still proceeds, but it's all bitching....

Well, perhaps there's something to be said for posting a reading schedule and host list after all. I, for one, would hate to see a group read die -- or listers leave -- simply because a few Pyn-heads seem intent on hindering discussion. Maybe a reading schedule and host list would lead to discussion topics and voices who can keep folks on-topic (although, as we can see, flamers are all around us).
Let me know when you folks decide whatcha want to do. I'd like to host (or even co-host) a session at some point. Oh Dave ...?? Joe ...??

Hear hear. So far this Group Read, if we can call it that, is a load of shit. Some posters have made interesting comments, and mostly been igored. But all this crud filling up my inbox about the Holocaust and whether/how it's dealt with/ignored in GR? For Fuck Sake. Yeah, like on one hand it's strangely absent from the book, but you could also argue there are references everywhere, including on page one (Ss, Evacuation etc.)........
But basaically, what i want to say is this: there are people, characters, that we instantly, instinctively like, say Jack Lemmon or Zoyd Wheeler. You just get a warm feeling about them. Conversely there are those whose personas come across as repellent, obnoxious, weasely.
Sadly people like Keith McMullen, jbor, and ghetta - who post a LOT on this list - fall into this category. They are what we in the UK call WANKERS.
Sorry, include me outta this list.
