Nice. Slothrop's preparation for his quest- like it or not-
for self-gnossis, in modernist terms, is bound to lead to
to the dissolution of the arbitrary boundary between
himself and everything else. In postmodernist terms he
must drag us with him, over, under, para, and otherwise 
past the "trinity" of the beginning, middle and end of the 
rainbow.
