I know people who voted for Bush, because he was the "lesser of two
evils" in that we know what evil he's capable of, but Kerry was too
elusive as to what his actual plans were. I guess I can understand
that standpoint, but at least voting Bush out of office for a wild
card stymies what was currently happening, and the new guy wouldn't
have enough time in 4 years to do whatever nefarious things he wanted
to in all likelihood.
Anyways, these people hear about NSA wiretaps and such and think that
it's fine, that it's good for the country, they don't care about
DCS-1000 or DRM... but then MA passed (or is passing?) some bill that
would fine people who could afford health insurance but who refused to
purchase it and they're up in arms, writing letters, wanting to
forward bill proposals and shit like that. WTF. Sure, it's absurd to
require health insurance like that, it's personal choice, but at the
same time... I feel like we got bigger issues going on... I don't get
how other people think.
