control of a harem? A mere contemplator, idly drawing the smoke of fine cut 
tobacco through a long carbon stem engraved with those mathematical formulas 
that we have come to consider as the language of the Universe, thus am I 
engaged in philosophizing while standing aloof on the fringe of a desperate 
struggle involving a woman and at least three, no less, aggressive males who 
have almost succeeded in pinning her down.'
