Actually, you wrote that, "as a whole", Blood Meridian "doesn't quite 
stack up to WARLOCK". Live by the sword, die by the sword.

But feel free to back-pedal from that assertion now by all means. 
There's no shame in admitting that you were mistaken, or that you 
didn't express yourself clearly. But it's precisely that sort of 
exaggerated claim I was referring to when I said that _Warlock_ is 
overrated here.

Where I seem to be in disagreement with others on this list is in this 
odd notion that "favourite" = "great". It doesn't.

I quite like _Warlock_. I don't particularly like _Ulysses_. But I can 
also see that by any legitimate criterion of assessing relative 
"greatness", the latter ranks above the former.
