Well, just draw me a muted post horn!

This is the same J. K. Sale who theorized that the line in the
"Whitechapel" version of _A Courier's Tragedy_ which goes "This tryst
or odious awry, O Niccolo" is really a pun on "This trystero dies
irae. . . ."  (TCL49 pp. 81--2). I smell a conspiracy.

(I accidentally hit "reply" instead of "reply to list", so at least
one person will get multiple copies of this almost totally
inconsequential message.  My apologies.)
