Holy shit I *love* this book. I think it starts off a bit awkwardly, but
once it gets going, I was completely happy. Though it's in no way a sequel
to "Finnegans Wake." Carson plays with that style prose for a bit in the
first chapter, but that's about it. And, as was already mentioned, it's
actually a lot more melancholy than one would expect.
