So you can imagine ... meanwhile, his wife (?!) sat on
his lap.  Mark Borchardt, no doubt excited by beating
out Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill, Le Tigre) for "Most
Famous Person Talked To," was in line in front of me
for the can after the ceremony (good thing he's
efficient, I drank I think nine beers during the hour
or so compulsively), even asked me "how the reasearch
is going."  Chris Smith and Sarah Price aren't close
personal friends of mine, friends of friends, but
cehck out the "Sound Dept." here ...

Doug Ruschaupt, a.k.a. The Funky Mummy, spins with us
regularly, accomopanied us out to Raleigh/Durham this
ast January, and is asked for by nickname at
dancefloors wherever we go (you might have seen him @
the ModChicago weekender, Tim, tall, gangly guy, of
indeterminate ethnicity [adopted, so ...],  but
definitely the best dancer on the floor, likely
wearing a velvet jacket).  Didier and his brother own
teh video shop down the street, they wre out with us
last night.  And so forth ...

Meanwhile, I'm JUST out of frame (thank God) in line
outside the Times Cinema for the Coven premiere (new
Matthew Barney this weekend) ...

And, yes, as I'm sure you've discovered, we ARE all
like that up here, so ...
