eGad: Pynchon excerpt from new novel

It's actually a pretty short piece, likely not even an
entire page.  AND it's allegedly from a Pynchon novel.
 Which of course AREN'T known for digressions in tone,
style, genre, taste, even, et al.  It's in a sense ALL
novels-within-novels with Pynchon, so ... wow ...
