eGad: Pynchon excerpt from new novel

No more spoilers, Laura, please.
Not even the *second* season of DW, so far the new millennium's
greatest TV series (which merges Peckinpah et al with Vermeer
and, oddly enough, Vermeer manages to, yes, stick to his gun..)
has started here.
Of course, the season is available on DVD, and I will purchase
it as soon as I can find the time to watch the whole thing
uninterruptedly... which seems impossible at the moment.
