profession

I worked in the publishing industry in Boston in various capacities for
about ten years (including ad copy writing) followed by a three year stint
in the hell of financial services (where my memos and refusal to say
"proactive", "individuals", or "utilize" knocked 'em dead).
My run on sentences however, annoy people outside of this list.
In 1989 a major label came calling and I quit my day job. Of course, we got
dropped along with every other band in Boston. Since then, I make my living
between gigs moving pianos.
