does anyone know the name of the novel where...

Godzilla is the protagonist? I want to call it Gujiro, but have run
into a brickwall googling that search term. The book is supposed to be
pretty good. Artificial Pynchon connection: that scene in Vineland
where they're digging around in Godzilla's footprint.

Does anyone recommend this novel at all?

Recent activity on the list has led me to pluck Gilligan's Wake off my
bookshelf, which was given as a gift a couple years ago. Trying to put
together a summer reading list that also includes books by Erickson,
Powers, et al.  Pardon the banal email, but seriously folks, any
nudges in a certain direction with regard to these writers is
definitely appreciated.
