Any book collectors out there who might happen to know
about any of these items, as described below by a
bookseller? Answers on- or off-list.

I'm considering purchasing one or all of these items,
after having bought from the same bookseller a
beautiful As New first edition Gravity's Rainbow. $$
to spend but not to waste, that's the idea:

[...] Doug, I have the two advance copies of MASON &
DIXON, both exactly alike except for the printing on
the cover:

Two volumes. Both advance copies of this novel. Two
different states, each with different printing on
rear, but no priority. Perfect bound in brown printed
wrappers. The books are identical, except for the back
panel printing. One lists sale date, first printing
numbers, and public relations info. The other copy
lists a paragraph about the book. Each book is 773pp.
Fine copies. The pair.$300.

I also have folded and gathered sheets, laid into the
dust jackets, that were used by the publisher, on two
of Pynchon's books that did not have any advance
copies. They are:

-VINELAND. One of about 10 sets of folded and gathered
sheets laid into the dust jacket. 1750.

-SLOW LEARNER. Same as above. 1750.

And also a rare "blue galley" of MASON & DIXON that
preceded the brown advance copies, and a lot of
different text that did not appear in the brown set.
3000. [...]
