Why am I not surprised? You don't seem to be very
familiar with the critical work that's been done on
Pynchon's work, not to mention the fact that it's
painfully obvious you know nothing about Vineland and
M&D  except how to club them with braindead epithets. 
You've never made any detailed argument here about any
passage, or character, or setting in that novel, nor
have you ever written anything here that would suggest
you've ready anything that anybody else has written
about either of these novels.  You're ignorant of
these books, simply put, and your opinion of them
therefore carries no weight.

Please feel free to root around your box of old GR
reviews or more recent retrospectives, you'll find
more than one whose admiration for Pynchon reaches the
heights I've suggested. Or, you could always head down
to your local library.
