Bush/JFK/Oswald/Pynchon (was 'Single Plane' Theory)

We recall Kevin Costner, during the making of Stone's 'JFK', playing
golf with George Bush (senior) who of course may well have been involved
in the assassination, though for some reason that wasn't mentioned in
the film...
Actually I noticed the 'Mind of P' documentary kept running that footage
of Oswald handing out the 'Hands Off Cuba' leaflets (with that sort of
'yes folks, come see me doing this' look on his face) again and again,
presumably because of Jules Seigel's claim that Oswald and Pynchon may
have shared a bus to Mexico, which struck me as highly unlikely on any
number of levels, not least that Oswald may never have gone there. And
leaving aside whatever passing reference there may be to the JFK
assassination in GR - and, arguably, COL49 - is it not likely that if
Pynchon had happened to share an egg mayo sandwich with old Lee on that
bus, then Oswald would have played a more major role in Pynchon's work
over the years? I mean, happening to meet on a bus a guy who later
became one of the central figures in one of the Century's more
fascinating conspiracies, that would have piqued Pynchon's interest
surely?
Cheers
J
