Don't know what rich's version would entail but the "real story" for  
me is how the sad and unfortunate incident was used to scare the hell  
out of  the American public.

Its effect has propped up the Bush administration ever since.

A personal tragedy for thousands is  turned into a  national  tragedy  
for millions.
