One of the defining principles of neo-conservatism is the manipulation
of the public mythology. This includes the need for an all-powerful or
shadowy "enemy". This is why Cheney and Rumsfeld promoted the idea of
the "Evil Empire" through the use of a professional actor long after
the Soviet Union ceased to be capable of opposing the United States.
It was also why we heard phrases like "moral equivalent of Hitler" and
"Axis of Evil". Note the use of the word "axis" in combination with
"evil". These guys know their shit even if the boobs that they use as
frontmen do not. Al Queda is the best thing to ever happen to
neo-conservatism. If it didn't exist, it would be necessary for them
to invent it...or just file the memo as a "historical document".

Another myth is "the left-leaning liberal media" which are of course
controlled by multi-national corporations which derive revenue from
very expensive advertising sold to other multi-national corporations.

No, this will never even be discussed in any mainstream news outlet
that is not considered a comedy channel.

Does this make me an enemy of the state? I sincerely hope so.
