AtD and 9/11

Speaking of treason....

What I have in mind of course is the way jbor
slandered the anti-war and pacifist Pynchon-l
participants by labeling them Osama-supporters in the
wake of September 11, 2001 - a shameful insult then
which jbor has not had the courtesy to withdraw and
for which jbor hasn't apologized.

As it turns out, of course, those of us who opposed
the bombing of innocent civilians in Afghanistan and
Iraq were correct to protest, because the Bush policy
that jbor defended here has turned out to be not only
morally bankrupt (that was obvious from the start) but
also stupid. 

"Morris" was vocal on these points as well, cheering
as the bombs fell on poor Afghanistan, imagining, I
suppose, that Bush's cowboy tactics were somehow
harming the people responsible for the September 11
attacks.
