AtD dilemma

Maybe I'm not the only one who is thinking about it, so here is my dilemma.
On the one hand it is possible to cut off any addtional info about the Book
and start reading it in November/December without any additonal luggage of
reviews, commentaries, discussions etc. On the other hand the treacherous
curiosity will certainly impel to learn more about the novel before the
arrival of my copy. I knew nothing about Lot 49 when I first read it, hell,
I didn't know who Pynchon was, and that tabula rasa thing before reading was
one of the reasons I enjoyed so much the text. Maybe it's good idea not to
know in more detail about the main characters and particular events in AtD
that will inevitably crop up in reviews. I don't know, maybe I'm staggering
back to the recent spoiler discussion, but that's what's on my mind now
regarding AtD.
