AtD dilemma

Maybe I'm not the only one who is thinking about it, so here is my dilemma. 
On the one hand it is possible to cut off any addtional info about the Book 
and start reading it in November/December without any additonal luggage of 
reviews, commentaries, discussions etc. On the other hand the treacherous 
curiosity will certainly impel to learn more about the novel before the 
arrival of my copy. I knew nothing about Lot 49 when I first read it, hell, 
I didn't know who Pynchon was, and that tabula rasa thing before reading was 
one of the reasons I enjoyed so much the text. Maybe it's good idea not to 
know in more detail about the main characters and particular events in AtD 
that will inevitably crop up in reviews. I don't know, maybe I'm staggering 
back to the recent spoiler discussion, but that's what's on my mind now 
regarding AtD.
