3 hours with Bloom

I'm about a quarter through William T. Vollmann"s "The Royal Family", and it's powerful , has great big themes and many moments of great poetic beauty and terror. I'm at the same crossroads in "Family" that I reached at a similar point in GR (will I hang on?, or just keep reading Proust or watch "Family Guy"instead), so the results aren't tallied and totalled quite yet. I'm sure others will chime in with their own points of view on Vollmann's work.
