3 hours with Bloom

The Royal Family started well, I thought, but ended up feeling like a waste
of time.  Too much speed, not enough story.

Beloved may be great, but the rest of Morrison frequently seems over-praised
to me.  Beloved is the only great novel I think she's written.  Regardless,
McCarthy would get knocked off that list well before Roth for me.
