<< "V. and Gravity's Rainbow meant a lot to me, but I was disappointed by
Mason
& Dixon. I was simply bored. Maybe I've grown too old for Pynchon, maybe
Pynchon is too old for me. Anyway, the connection between a reader and a
writer, like any love connection in the world, is not eternal'. >>

Clearly he doesn't know of Scoop.

I'm glad I got hooked on Shakespeare and Dickens and George Eliot and Hardy, & Co. when I was quite young. Today I simply don't have that Love Connection thing working the way it used to. Right now I'm kinda hooked on Black American authors. Been back through all the classics. I'm also reading a lot more American Females. I know, everybody's doin it, doin it. This list is a kool place to learn about books. I guess most of the P-list is male and most guys don't read fiction as much as they age so it's kool that we can connect here even if it ain't about that Love thang no mo.

Scoop can't read fiction. He hates it.
