<<When will the book focus on Tesla, Lugosi, and Marx? It seems fair to guess that Tesla will figure in the World's Fair of 1893 section, maybe in the Colorado section, maybe in the Tunguska section, and just possibly in a Wardenclyffe section set on TRP's natal Long Island. >>
Good point. We've definitely not seen much discussion or speculation about the people mentioned in the blurb.
The only one I've bothered looking up so far was Tesla. He sounds an appropriate character for Pynchon. Wikipedia: "According to legend, Tesla was born precisely at midnight during an electrical storm,..."
And of course Tesla was form 'The Balkans'. And you mention Princip, which of course makes sense given the time period. I'd love to see Pynchon do an episode set in Sarajevo, since I have a soft spot for the place.

I don't think anyone should be chided for mining the blurb/excerpt for all they're worth. Who can help himself? Not me. It'll be interesting to see what else emerges between now and publication - it surely cannot be the case that there will be no further details seeping out? We'll at least get the cover, for example, and at least some mainstream media attention.
Cheers
