"Broken Doll", "Tonight is My Night", "Let's Go to the Pictures", "Take the
Cash", "Semaphore Signals", "Pop Song" (Hells's bells, buckets of blood, you
got me reaching for my tranquillizers), "Too Busy", all of these are
tremendous pop songs with balls. They're the kinda thing that California pop
punk bands like the Parasites and later on Green Day took off from. In Green
Day's case, to much greater commercial success but without that certain
charming innocence.

Didn't know about the book.
