What fools.  EVERYBODY knows that Pynchon actually joined forces with
Bill Watterson to found an elite crime-fighting team equipped with
cardboard time machines and trained velociraptors, tasked to fight the
twin forces of Fascism and Licenced Merchandise.  What, you think
Watterson's retirement only two years before Mason & Dixon was a
coincidence?
