Yeah, good film, pitched somewhere between The Big Sleep and The Big 
Lebowski.

Saw The Squid & The Whale last night, enjoyale enough and of interest to 
book-loving types, shades of Royal Tennenbaums or The Ice Storm though 
definitely not as good as those two.

Final thought on Chandler - gimme something from Hammett as wondeful as 
this:

"He showed me the picture. It was a blonde. A blonde to make a bishop kick a 
hole in a stained glass window."
