Interesting. If this means May baedekered his Wild West novels, I suppose it
puts him in good company.

On the East German Western ...

It's probably no coincidence that these films were made (late-60s onwards)
when the Hollywood version was burdened with Vietnamisation (and supposedly
becoming 'less popular').
