Thomas Pynchon on Larry King Live, 11/20/06

Not rilly, though imagine it rilly happened. Pynchon would appear in the scramble suit from A Scanner Darkly. Then he'd take the suit off to reveal the Unknown Comic paper bag from the Simpsons episode. Next he'd take the bag off to reveal a Godzilla mask then Groucho glasses then one of the bird masks from Eyes Wide Shut. Finally, fully unmasked, he'd be revealed to be JD Salinger which everyone suspected all along. Special guests would include Pynch's former Little League coach Grady Little, current hottie wife Melanie, not-so-hottie ex-wife Tara Reid, Rick Moody, former teacher Vlad Nabokov (also to comment on the Jon Benet Ramsay case), R. Crumb and T. Zwigoff, former pot-smoking buddies Dennis Wilson and Tommy Chong, etc. Pynch would be subcaptioned "Reclusive Author." He'll take some audience phone calls and somebody from Grand Rapids will ask him what "Ruggles" means and somebody else will ask him whether there's gonna be a sequel to Gravity's Rainbow and Pynch will
 confirm a warez only release called, what else, Gravity's Rainbow Part 2.5: The Smell of Fear.
  Anyway...don't miss this episode of teh King...
