Yes, I wrote that I had heard that sometime in the
past couple of years Melanie Jackson contacted Viking
to inquire if they still had the original manuscript,
they did, now Pynchon has it.  That's all I heard, and
it comes from somebody who would know.

When you consider that a book signed by Pynchon is
valued at about $50,000 no wonder the book collectors
are salivating.
