It breaks my Austinite heart that the "alternative" paper,
Chronicle, hasn't, as far as I know, taken the trouble to
publish a review of AtD - and back in '97, they published
a broadside at M&D by the old Pynchon-hater Harvey Pekar.
On the other hand, it was nice to open Austin-American
Statesman one morning and read David Kipen's fine review
of the 1997 novel.
