I don't know why Rob thinks it "obviously" wasn't written by Pynchon.
It sounded just like so many of his essays.  The description itself
makes me a little nervous about what kind of book he's going to
deliver.  It seems like it's going to be an over-the-top scatter shot
novel including even the kitchen sink.
