thanx to Eric for typing this up, and good to see old Bookworm still as 
grumpy and snide as ever. But Pynchon ain't no 'recluse', and 'career 
ladder' ain't no 21st Century phrase......... and if ATD's characters really 
burst into song 'every 20 pages or so' then that would be, what, over 50 
songs!
