Gravity's Rainbow

The author of this "Some Things That Happen (More or Less) in GR",
Michael Bell, was my professor in college, and I read GR for the
first time for his class, "Nabakov and Pynchon." This guide was
crucial for me, reading the book for the first time. I think of him
every time I read Pynchon, as he opened the door for me.

He died five or ten years ago -- a young-ish guy -- but the course is
still taught at Williams by another professor.

Thanks, Michael. . . .
