The royal family in Denmark has actually made a habit of making important 
announcements (pregnancies, engagements, divorces, usw.) on Wednesdays, just 
after the deadline of all the sleazy weekly rags that specialize in royal 
gossip (most of which are published on Thursdays). A standard feature in the 
evening news on those momentous days is an interview with one of the sleazy 
editors, who will predictably piss and moan over the fact that the royal 
family doesn't have the decency to synchronize their announcements with the 
tabloid deadlines (little suspecting that they HAVE indeed done so).
