Ditto. Great story. Now that's a good idea actually to check out if there 
ARE real namesakes of Pynchon characters. For all I know, maybe there is a 
Chevrolette McAdoo or Chick Counterfly living down the street. I also wonder 
how many puppies will get christened 'Pugnax' in the future.
