2006 goes out banging with three sprawling controversial offerings.  
Pynchon's 1000+ pager. Tom Waits' 3-CD set. Lynch's three hour  
nightmare. The reviews are interchangeable. From on the knees  
gratitude to agonizing complaining about self-indulgence,  
indecipherability and interminability.

I have the patience of Job and can never make any sense of anything  
anyway. Hopefully someone put some kneepads in my stocking.
