If you were curious, I had it in mind to mention Love and Acceptance (the other 2 virtues mentioned by Woody Allen, in "Broadway Danny Rose": Acceptance, forgiveness, and love, now that's a philosophy of life"
Love being demonstrated in many forms in AtD
Acceptance too

and then close by working with the quote "the letter kills and the spirit giveth life" which anticipates the map not being the territory, and answers that po-mo thing (Derrida?) about the text having different meanings.  Which could easily enough apply to many a text, including Pynchon.

But that would make 4 items, an ill-starred # in AtD.

So in the spirit of Christmas hilarity (hee-hee) and some family wisdom that didn't make it to the Bible: when fun and duty clash, duty go to smash.  I'm for a glass of wine.  Here's a health to Carvill's aunt, and here's the reason why: she always kept things decent, in the Carvill famil-eye!
