Best 2006 films

I just took a look at the whole list for 2006.  Man, what a lot of shit
movies!  I guess that's always the case.  Anyway, there are quite a few that
I expect to like but haven't seen.  But of those I have seen, some of my
favorites (in no particular order) are

I'm Your Man
The Notorious Bettie Page
Don't Come Knocking
A Prairie Home Companion
Little Miss Sunshine
The Devil Wears Prada
Over the Hedge

One I can't wholly recommend, I saw yesterday on a big screen: Curse of the
Golden Flower, with Gong Li and Chow Yun-Fat.  But if I could cut 30-45
minutes of mind-numbing battle scenes and predictable ninja attacks, the
remainder would be Greek tragedy and a very fine movie.  It's a shame,
really.
