Something I noticed in Vineland (which I love) is how 
there was this whole all-girl asskicking kult going 
on---kinda out there in Russ Meyerland, to a certain 
extent---and something that jumped out at me while 
reading the intro to Slow Learner was his 
acknowledgement of sexist attitudes in his early 
writing, (like V., which I never really liked).

First,  thank you hugely for the recommendation to read the 
Introduction and The Secret Integration in Slow Learner.   I very 
much enjoyed both and pass that recommendation on to anyone who has 
not read them (!).
