Advance copy

Well something like Pynchon's new work might be kept under special
lock and key for people writing blurbs and reviews, and Book Expo
America already happened... but book expos are a good place to pick
them up, if you can worm your way into the American Library
Association's expos which I believe happen a couple times a year you
might get lucky. Other than that I really can't say... that's the
only way I've gotten uncorrected proofs or advanced copies.
