NP Vollmann's / external referents (hyperlinks)

Having never read Vollmann (even though I carried a
copy of You Bright and Risen Angels crosscountry
earlier this year as a gift for someone who already
had the Pynchon novels), where should I start?  With
YBARA, I'm presuming, but ... also, Gass. 
Interestingly, I by and large had to hear about those
guys here.  Whereas Barth and DeLillo and Barthelme
and even McElroy come up often enough to constantly in
the ol' critical apparatus ...
