Just an idea

As we know Pynchon was pretty much aware of what he was going to achieve
from the very start. Hence the famous quote from his 1964 letter to Candida
Donadio about 'four novels-in-progress': "If they come out on paper
anything like they are inside my head, then it will be the literary event of
the millennium." It is not that easy to determine which four novels he
meant. One might suppose that these have been Lot 49, GR, Vineland, and M&D.
However, if we dismiss the shorter pieces (Lot49, and Vineland) and make a
conjecture that he was talking about four BIG novels, than not only the
December book should be big and complex on the level of GR and M&D, chances
are that in a decade or thereabaouts we might read the fourth great novel
conceived in the restless mind of a 26 year old genius. It's a pretty wild
guesswork, but still...
