Yes indeed RE: Shine On.  I believe they hadn't seen him in around
five years.  He lived, at one point, in a house where people were
afraid to drink the water because even the cups there were laced with
acid.  Someone put LSD in his coffee every morning for, I believe, two
or three months.  No wonder he lost it.

I've heard some of his solo stuff and it's generally sort of creepy.
Like some guy alone in a studio with a guitar who figured out how to
turn the equipment on, which it kind of was.
