Seriously though, while it obviously wasn't written by Pynchon, but by  
someone fraudulently signing himself or herself as Pynchon, it's  
plausible enough that it was an accurate precis. Which begs the  
question, if 'tis, wherefrom sprang the leak? Someone's head on the  
chopping block?
