rj:
[...]It appeared in the way hoax-stuff
usually does appear here. There was the simultaneous
Return of the
Whore of Babylon. [...]

Uh, buddy, I'm afraid you may be building a castle of
sand there, with expectations I'm not prepared to
fulfill, sorry.

Or, for reasons unknown, you're insulting the nice
lady from Penguin who confirmed rumors by announcing
Pynchon's new novel?

rj:
[...]Then it disappeared from the Amazon page. Then it
got
copied into an Amazon reader discussion-page.
Etc.[...]

Curses, foiled again! What fiendish criminal can
possibly hope to outwit this genius of literary
detection?

Indeed, I did hack into Amazon.com, pen that "Book
Description" (in the overheated style common to the
book support quote genre, as taught in the course I'm
taking with the University of Blurb Writing
Correspondence College, Blurb Genre Management & High
Class Book Reviewer Job Placement Bureau, of Pendik,
Idaho) and posted it on the Amazon.com page dedicated
to the coming novel, and then what a delicious feeling
I enjoyed, knowing I had deceived the world. THE
WORLD! HA HA HA HA!
