No doubt The Bible is the ultimate source here, but
I've no doubt perhaps both the Faulkner and even the
FDR uses/mentions will prove salient. And the
question to keep in mind will be, against WHAT day?
Speaking of yr American jeremiads ... but so far
everything mentioned seems in line with what we've
read already. Now who was it here who said that
"cribbing for it sounds a little like getting one's
opinions ready beforehand, regardless of what's in the
book"? Not that I agree, but ...
