For a variety of reasons, not all of them entirely
legal or even socially acceptable, I've got barely
enough time these days to read and post a bit here, so
I'm happy to let others to the pynchonblog heavy
lifting while I drift along in blissful anticipation
of an amazing new novel from the master, knowing as
well as I know anything that anticipation amounts to
about 98 percent of the unalloyed pleasure of just
about any experience that can be anticipated.  I've
got two book projects underway of my own, the days are
fat, life is good, summertime and the livin' is easy. 
Gotta admit, that title, Against the Day, hovers with
a rather ominous tone, but things could be worse.  I
don't live in Lebanon, or Iraq...
